SOLAR PANELS

SOLAR PANELS

What are photovoltaic panels?

Photovoltaics is used to generate energy. It is the simplest form of electricity generation based on the conversion of solar radiation into electric current (direct current) using photovoltaic panels. The generated current is sent to the inverter and converted into alternating current, which can power, for example, the entire house. The surplus energy is fed into the grid and can later be used by the user.

Why is this important?

Photovoltaic systems are environmentally friendly. The photovoltaic production of electricity from solar radiation does not cause the emission of any substances harmful to health. Photovoltaics does not generate noise and does not consume potable water resources for energy production. Common silicon and aluminium are used for the production of photovoltaic modules, making them 100% recyclable. Furthermore, photovoltaics supports water saving. In contrast to conventional power plants, the photovoltaic system produces electricity without the use of water. All this makes photovoltaics one of the cleanest energy sources in the world.

Photovoltaic system in Opolgraf

The roof of our building is fitted with 100 solar panels which generate electricity used in the production process. Within six months of use, the solar panels reduced the felling of over 1,100 trees, reduced CO2 emissions by 8,060 kg and saved 8,060 kg of coal.

We use the highest quality photovoltaic panels, inverters, and fixings to guarantee safety and ensure that our actions have a good impact on the environment.

"OPOLGRAF" JOINT STOCK COMPANY is implementing a project co-financed by the Re-Open UK Programme entitled "Investments in OPOLGRAF S. A. as a response to the negative effects of Brexit". The aim of the project is to counteract the negative effects of Brexit. The implementation of the project will improve the quality and colour of final products through more precise and accurate halftone dots with much sharper edges, as well as much greater resistance to wear during the production process. By implementing the project, the Applicant will be able to compensate for the increase in trading costs with the United Kingdom. The total project value is 254,610.00 EUR, of which the contribution from the European Funds is 199,000.00 EUR.
