Opole Book Festival is now behind us – and it was a record-breaking literary event in every respect!

For three days, Plac Wolności in Opole once again transformed into a vibrant literary village. We hosted over 120 publishers, bestselling authors, and numerous artists. Throughout the weekend, Opole buzzed with reading passion, offering participants the chance to attend over 100 author sessions on stage, in the library, and at publisher booths. The festival concluded each day with a concert, seamlessly blending literature and music. This year’s edition featured exciting formats, including the Young Adult Panel initiated by the Opole Book Festival and the nighttime meetings of “Zbrodnia na pokładzie” (Crime on Board). The overwhelming attendance confirms the outstanding quality of all festival events. Let’s hear what our guests had to say:

  • Lech Wałęsa: “Ladies and gentlemen, I am pleasantly surprised by the large turnout and positive reception! I hope my answers satisfied your curiosity and doubts. Thank you for the meeting at the Opole Book Festival.”
  • Remigiusz Mróz: “Opole hosts the best book festival in the world, and I’ve been here seven times already. I plan to return at least 97 more times! Highly recommended!”
  • Wydawnictwo Znak: “We sincerely thank the Opole Book Festival organizers for their excellent event management. The professionalism displayed throughout the festival deserves immense recognition. The fantastic crowds, outstanding authors, and unforgettable atmosphere made it a memorable time. See you next year!”
  • Wydawnictwo Nasza Księgarnia: “Undoubtedly the best literary festival in Poland! The author sessions, workshops, and concerts are top-notch. Special thanks to the volunteers who helped us and kept everyone hydrated. We look forward to the next edition.”

Judyta Gralka, Vice President of the Fabryka Inspiracji PL Foundation and organizer of the Opole Book Festival, also praises this record-breaking edition: “This year’s festival exceeded our wildest expectations. The literary excitement hasn’t waned, and we’re hearing from both publishers and authors that Opole’s festival is the best in Poland. We’re thrilled that the event has gained international recognition, and we’re looking forward to even more meetings and attractions next year.”

Bartosz Mazurkiewicz, President of the Fabryka Inspiracji PL Foundation, adds: “Opole residents once again demonstrated that literature is an integral part of their lives.
