Mission

Book Festival

Factory of Inspiration is a project by Opolgraf Printing House, under which author meetings with journalists, writers and contemporary literature creators were organized. The meetings within the Factory of Inspiration are dedicated to promoting specific books or open topics within the interests of the invited authors. The original place of the project was the bookbinding facility of the Opolgraf Printing House, which for two hours turned into a place of discussion between residents of the Opole region and the invited author. One of the strategic events organized by the Foundation is the Book Festival. Every year in June, we organize literary events.

This year’s 7th Book Festival in Opole is behind us – the event was record-breaking in every way! We already receive information from various parts of Poland that this is the best literary event in the country. For three days, Freedom Square in Opole turned into a beautiful literary town. We hosted over a hundred publishers from all over the country, the most popular writers, and numerous artists.

Throughout the weekend, Opole was filled with reading passion, participants had the opportunity to take part in over seventy meetings with authors on stage and at publishers’ stands, numerous workshops for the youngest readers were held – the quality of all festival events confirms the record-breaking turnout. Every day the festival ended with a concert emphasizing the unique and exceptional character of the fair – combining literature with music. This year’s edition surprised with novelties such as the Young Adult Panel or author meetings “Crime on Board” held on a ship. All these elements allowed us to achieve a great effect, which is evidenced by the opinions of our guests:

Aleksander Kwaśniewski: “It is wonderful at the Book Festival in Opole, there are great authors, great books, wonderful readers, and a great atmosphere!”

“It is worth coming to the Book Festival in Opole because there are people here who read. Reading books is the best thing you can do for yourself, for your heart, for your imagination, for your intellect,” Natalia de Barbaro adds.

Remigiusz Mróz: “The best book festival in the world is in Opole, which I invite you to every year. I’m here for the seventh time and plan to be here at least 97 more times! I recommend it!”

AGORA Publishing House: “The Opole Book Festival traditionally breaks out of the schemes and shines with full splendor in the shadow of the largest industry events! The specific atmosphere and charming climate of the city mean that every year, authors of the highest caliber come here and publishers and readers eagerly await the next festival edition. This year, the turnout exceeded expectations of all interested parties, so we can’t wait for the next edition!” We are incredibly happy that Opole has once again been etched into the memories of festival participants as a place known for promoting reading and nurturing a love of culture.

ISO 9001:2008

In November 2005 we implemented a Quality Management System compliant with ISO 9001:2008 (certification company: TÜV Rheinland).

We believe that quality is the real causative factor behind the success of a publishing house. We do not just mean the quality of the books, because quality must also be high in every sphere of our activity. Using the language of physiology: we should breathe quality. This is a core value in our daily work, and rather than working to preserve the quality we are constantly trying to improve it, by improving all aspects of our operations.

"OPOLGRAF" JOINT STOCK COMPANY is implementing a project co-financed by the Re-Open UK Programme entitled "Investments in OPOLGRAF S. A. as a response to the negative effects of Brexit". The aim of the project is to counteract the negative effects of Brexit. The implementation of the project will improve the quality and colour of final products through more precise and accurate halftone dots with much sharper edges, as well as much greater resistance to wear during the production process. By implementing the project, the Applicant will be able to compensate for the increase in trading costs with the United Kingdom. The total project value is 254,610.00 EUR, of which the contribution from the European Funds is 199,000.00 EUR.
